The above image is the Opelika Middle School on Denson Drive as the building looks today. It originally was
the Opelika High School that replaced Clift High School.
This was published in the Opelika-Auburn News in August 2006.
"The school was first constructed
as Opelika High School in 1959, before becoming Opelika Junior High in 1972 and Opelika Middle School in 1990".

Wayne's comments: "Look at the parking lot.. not on the street.. but the parking lot. The first
row facing the street, the 3rd car is our car. It was a 1949 Chevrolet two tone, dark green top and a light green bottom.
Daddy paid $200 for the car".
